※ How to apply: 1. Taipei City residents: •Documents required: (1) Completed application form for Senior, Charity or Companion EasyCards. (2) Residents over 65 years of age and indigenous residents over 55 years of age (household certificate or a transcript thereof required) need to show ID cards; disabled citizens need to show disability ID. (3) One 2 inch color photograph. •If application is made through a representative, this person must present not only the above documents, but also a letter of delegation from the applicant and their own ID card. •Where: District office. 2. New Taipei City residents: •Documents required: (1) Completed application form for Senior, Charity or Companion EasyCards. (2) ID card for residents over 65 years of age; disability ID for disabled citizens. (3) Two 1 inch color photographs taken within the past 3 months. •How to apply: (1) Apply at the New Taipei City district offices. (2) Mail in with a photocopy of the identification. ※ Other points for attention: 1.First time applications are free. Applications for reissues cost NT$100. If you need to report a loss, please call the EasyCard Corporation Customer Service Center on +886-2-412-8880. Costs incurred within 3 hours after report of the loss shall be borne by the cardholder. 2.While still valid, the card can be extended for six months at any district office of the cardholder’s registered city, as well as any Taipei Metro and Maokong Gondola station information counters, or convenience stores in Taipei/New Taipei City displaying the EasyCard logo. Ticket readers (EQM) at Taipei Metro and Maokong Gondola stations can also be used to extend the expiry date of Senior or Charity EasyCards. 3.If the EasyCard expires, users registered in Taipei/New Taipei City can renew their cards at any Taipei Metro or Maokong Gondola station, their local district office, and 7-11 and Family Mart convenience stores anywhere in Taiwan. 4.Alternative EasyCards: When applications are made in person, a temporary EasyCard may be issued, depending on the situation. This can be used until the regular EasyCard is obtained. 5.You must have your identification ready for verification when using these cards. Applications for Senior, Charity and Companion EasyCards must observe the rules of the Taipei/New Taipei City social welfare authorities. 6.Required companions of children under 115cm of height, or over 115cm but under 6 years of age, and holding Charity EasyCards, are allowed to use the Charity EasyCards to travel on the Taipei Metro directly when travelling with the child. ※ Taipei/New Taipei City bus fares for Senior, Charity and Companion EasyCard holders: 1.Both Taipei/New Taipei City Residents receive 60 free bus trips (120 free points) every month. 2.Free bus travel points cannot be carried over to the next month. Free points will be reassigned every month. The free points do not need to be collected in person. If you run out of free points, please top up your EasyCard and you will receive a 50% discount on all your following journeys. 3.The Companion Cards do not include free but travel points, but receive the same discount as the Charity Card when used on the same bus immediately after the paired Charity EasyCard. Companion Cards are charged and function as regular adult EasyCards when used on their own. ※ Metro fares for Senior, Charity, Companion or Alternative EasyCard holders: Senior and Charity EasyCards must be topped up before use. They receive 60% discount on every journey. Companion EasyCards enjoy the same discount only when used at the same gate immediately after the paired Charity EasyCard. Companion Cards are charged and function as regular adult EasyCards when used on their own.
