Does Taipei Metro remain operational during a Typhoon Warning Period?

After a land warning issued by the Central Weather Bureau for northern Taiwan, Taipei Metro may adopt the following emergency measures.

1.Wenhu Line:
(1) When wind gusts reach 25 meters per second (about level 10) or average wind speed within 10 minutes reaches level 6 (10.8 meters per second), all trains will suspend operation after reaching terminal station.
(2) When average wind speed within 10 minutes reaches level 8 (17.2 meters per second), all trains will stop at platforms, and passengers will be evacuated, then all trains will suspend operation and will be sent back to the depot.
(3) When average wind speed within 10 minutes reaches level 9 (20.8 meters per second), all passengers will be evacuated, and all trains will suspend operation and stop at platforms.

2.Tamsui-Xinyi Line, Songshan-Xindian Line, Zhonghe-Xinlu Line, Bannan Line:
(1) When average wind speed within 10 minutes reaches level 8, all trains running between Minquan W. Road Station and Tamsui Station will be slowed down.
(2) When wind gusts reach 30 meters per second (about level 11) or average wind speed within 10 minutes reaches level 10, all trains running between Minquan W. Road Station and Tamsui Station will be suspended and passengers will be evacuated.
(3) Train operation in non-affected underground areas will remain regular, though headway may be adjusted as necessary.
