The Boards of Directors and Supervisors of the TRTC are established according to the Company Act. The Board of Directors is convened by the Chairman, with the Chief Secretary responsible for all meeting affairs, and the Audit Office in charge of organizational auditing work.

The President and Vice Presidents are authorized by the Board of Directors to oversee 17 operating units, i.e. the Planning, Station Operations, Train Operations, Rolling Stock, System Engineering, Station Engineering, Infrastructure, Finance, Business, Information Technology, Human Resources, Purchasing and Warehousing, Industrial Safety, Contracted Business, and Administration, Accounting, and Legal Affairs and Government Ethics Divisions.

  • Mapping of the TRTC's operational strategies.

  • Responsible for maintaining the elevators, escalators, communication and signal of the Metro system.

  • Responsible for management and marketing plans of affiliated businesses such as advertisements, shops, parking lots, underground stores and real estate investment, leasing and selling.

  • Responsible for TRTC's overall information system development, including management of the computer facilities, operation of the mainframe and the development and maintenance of the application systems.

Division
  • Responsible for personnel management and labor relations.
  • Planning of manpower development, training and consultation services.
Purchasing and
Warehousing
Division
  • In charge of the procurement of materials, machines, tools, instruments and components required for operations.
  • Contracting out construction work and labor services.
  • Material storage management.
Industrial Safety
Division
  • Carrying out quality assurance policies and objectives.
  • Supervising integral system safety programs.
  • Supervising workers' occupational safety and hygiene programs.
Contracted Business
Division
  • Responsible for management, operation and maintenance of the business commissioned by the Taipei City Government.
Administration
Division
  • Responsible for official documents, official seals, file management, general affairs management, public relations and affairs not pertaining to other units.
Accounting
Division
  • Handling TRTC's accounting and compiling statistics.
  • Handling final accounts.
Legal Affairs and Government Ethics
Division
  • Handling legal affairs.
  • Preventing, discovering, investigating and dealing with corruption and other illegal actions by TRTC staff.
  • Safeguarding security and protecting official secrets.
  • Investigating unlawful behavior by passengers.
Audit Office
  • Auditing internal business, accounting and financial practices.
  • Analyzing anomalies and providing suggestions on reformation.

Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation is a company founded jointly by Taipei City Government, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, New Taipei City Government, Tang Eng Iron Works Co. Ltd., Taipei Fubon Bank, Mega International Commercial Bank and Taiwan Cooperative Bank who pooled resources from the government and private sectors.
