Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation ─ Metro Service

1. Starting from February 1, 2019, passengers using stored-value cards (EasyCard, iPASS, icash) can enjoy two-way transfer discounts when traveling between New Taipei Light Rail (Danhai LRT and Ankeng LRT) and Taipei Metro and New Taipei Metro Circular Line, within one hour after fare deduction (transfer discount allowable time). The discount amounts are as follows:

(1) General, Student, Concessionaire, Companion Cards (used alone), and all metro ticket types charged at full fare: NT$8 discount per trip.

(2) Senior cards, Taipei Elementary School Digital Student Cards (Taipei Children's Concessionary Cards), New Taipei Children's Cards, Charity Cards, and Companion Cards used immediately after the Charity Cards: NT$4 per trip.

2. Transfers between New Taipei Light Rail (Danhai LRT, Ankeng LRT) and Taipei Metro and New Taipei Metro Circular Line must be direct transfers without using other transportation modes in between, such as Taiwan Railway, Maokong Gondola, long-distance buses, HSR, taxis, YouBike, etc. Otherwise, it will be considered an interrupted transfer and the discount will not apply.

If your travel behavior complies with all transfer discount regulations but you did not receive the transfer discount, you may directly contact the responsible transport authority for assistance, or apply at the metro station information counter for follow-up processing. Cases will be investigated by our staff who will then process refunds, or transfer the matter to the relevant responsible authority for subsequent handling.
