Construction of Soundproofing Barriers
(1)Tamsui Line: (2)Wenshan-Neihu Line:Since Taipei metro began operation, the surrounding environment and infrastructure along its tracks have changed greatly. With its management philosophy of "Customers Come First and Quality Above All" and its mission of "Providing a Safe, Reliable, Cordial and High-Quality Transportation Service" to travelers, Taipei Metro has taken the initiative in the construction soundproofing barriers to improve the quality of life of the residents living along the ground level tracks (Tamsui Line) and the elevated tracks (Tamsui and Wenshan-Neihu lines). Other measures, such as lubrication of wheel flange, wheel turning, rail surface leveling, base plates renewing, installment of new-style switches, and even adjusting our operational mode if circumstances require, have also been implemented to further reduce the operational noise impact on neighboring communities.
