Stored value card (can be topped up)

◎Fares:
1. Passengers traveling on adult (including co-branded credit and debit cards), student, and concessionaire cards shall be charged the same fare as a single-journey ticket.
2. Welfare cards (including Senior, Charity, and Companion cards) enjoy a 60% discount on every Metro journey.
Note: Companion cards pay normal fares when traveling alone, but receive the same discount as Charity cards when used immediately after the corresponding Charity card.
3. Taipei City elementary school students holding digital Student ID EasyCards or Children Cards, enjoy 40% off single journeys on the Taipei Metro and New Taipei Metro Circular Line; while children holding New Taipei City Children Cards enjoy 60% off single-journeys.The discount is valid until October 31st of the year in which the cardholder graduates from Grade 6 of elementary school. (The discount for the Taipei City Children Card is valid until December 31st of the year in which the cardholder turns 12 years old.) After the expiry date, ticket fares will revert to full price.

◎Transfer discounts:
1. Buses
Passengers traveling on Adult IC cards (including co-branded credit cards and debit cards), Student cards, or Concessionaire (Welfare) cards respectively receive an NT$8, NT$6 and NT$4 discount when transferring between Metro and bus within one hour.
Note: Companion cards pay normal fares when traveling alone, but receive the same discount as Charity cards (NT$4) when used immediately after the corresponding Charity card.
2. YouBike
Passengers traveling on EasyCards receive a NT$5 discount when transferring between Taipei Metro, New Taipei Metro Circular Line, and YouBike within one hour. To qualify for this discount, the YouBike must be rented from a New Taipei City YouBike station (but can be returned at any YouBike station in Taipei or New Taipei City).
3. Danhai LRT and Ankeng LRT
Passengers traveling on EasyCards, iPASS, or icash enjoy a transfer discount when transferring between Metro, Danhai LRT and Ankeng LRT within one hour:
(1) Adult, Student, Concessionaire, and Companion cards (when traveling alone) receive an NT$8 discount.
(2) Senior cards, Taipei City digital Student ID cards (Taipei Children Cards), New Taipei City Children Cards, Charity cards, and Companion cards receive a NT$4 discount.

◎Usage: 
When entering/exiting the gates, place the ticket on the sensor (marked with the Single-Journey Ticket logo). When you hear the piano sound and see a green arrow on the screen, the gate opens. Touch out the same way to leave the station.
