Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation ─ Metro Service

In consideration of the public's transport needs, noise pollution and operational safety, the departure time of the first train and last train is 6am and 12am respectively. At 5am, before service begins, tracks are inspected. The last train returns to the depot at 1:30am. This means that there is only 3 hours and 30 minutes of non-service time available for track maintenance and rolling stock cleaning. This time cannot be further reduced.
We consider that the noise and vibration of trains moving at night affect the life of residents who live along metro line. In addition, our metro implements maintenance works at night in order to maintain a safe, fast, and comfortable transportation service. At the present time there are no plans to change the service times for the metro.
