Wenhu Line

Muzha Line

Rolling Stock

  • Each train consists of two married pairs of 2 cars each, totaling 4 cars.
  • Maximum Speed: 80 km per hour.
  • Each train can accommodate about 424 passengers for BOMBARDIER trains. Each train can accommodate about 464 passengers for MATRA trains. (Based on 6 standing persons per square meter)
  • Car floor and platform are at the same elevation, making it easy for passengers, particularly the disabled, to get in and out.

Control Mode

  • Operation Control Center controls the entire operation of the line, which is computerized, fully automated, and driverless. A built-in safety-orientation mechanism ensures passenger safety.
  • Manual operation is possible when necessary.

Platform

  • Platforms are of the side type and island type.
  • There are screen doors on the platform and a 3 cm gap between the platform edge and the train. Passengers in wheelchairs should move backward when entering or departing a train.
  • Dwell time of a train at the station: 20~30 seconds, 40~50 seconds at Zhongxiao Fuxing Station.

Track

  • The entire system comprises underground and elevated sections structure with reinforced concrete and steeliness.
  • Wheels: Rubber tires.

Attributes

  • Low pollution, high convenience, reliability, and safety.

Tamsui-Xinyi Line, the Songshan-Xindian Line, the Zhonghe-Xinlu Line and the Bannan Line.

Danshui Line

Rolling Stock

  • Each train consists of two 3-car EMUs, totaling 6 cars.
  • Maximum Speed: 80km per hour.
  • Each train can accommodate 1,936 passengers (352 seats plus standing room for 1,584 persons, based on 6 standing persons per square meter).
  • Car floor and platform are on the same elevation, making it easy for passengers, particularly the disabled, to get in and out.

Operation Control Mode

  • The train is operated by a train driver with the guidance of the signal system.
  • Train operation is also under the Operation Control Center’s supervision. A built-in safety-orientation mechanism ensures passenger safety.

Platform

  • Platforms may be of the single side type, the island type, double level single side type, double level island type, or composite type.
  • At some stations, platform screen doors (PSD) were installed at the construction stage, such as the Dongmen-Luzhou/Huilong section of the Zhonghe-Xinlu Line; the Dongmen-Xiangshan section of the Tamsui-Xinyi Line; the Beimen-Songshan section of the Songshan-Xindian Line; as well as Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center and Dingpu stations on the Bannan Line.
    Stations without PSDs will be fitted in stages, works are planned for completion in 2018.
  • The gap between platform edge and train is about 10cm. Passengers in wheelchairs should reverse when entering or leaving a train.
  • Dwell time of a train at the station: 20~35 seconds; 40~50 seconds at Taipei Main Station and Zhongxiao Fuxing Station.

Track

  • The entire system comprises underground, elevated, and ground sections as required by respective situations.
  • Wheels: made of steel to run on steel rails.
