Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation is a company founded jointly by Taipei City Government, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, New Taipei City Government, Tang Eng Iron Works Co. Ltd., Taipei Fubon Bank, Mega International Commercial Bank and Taiwan Cooperative Bank who pooled resources from the government and private sectors.
