[note] The following emergency evacuation procedures by means of the platform doors are intended to demonstrate that these doors permit manual operation in the event of an emergency. As details of operation may vary depending on the location of the platform door, detailed instructions for manual operation are posted on all platform doors.
• High Capacity Platform Door Operation Procedure (examples taken from Taipei City Hall Station)
Situation One: When train doors open, automatic platform doors bar exit. | |
1. Pull the red handle of the right door and rotate clockwise. (If pull the red handle of the left door and rotate anti-clockwise) | |
2. Pull sideways to open the door. | |
Note: When opened manually, platform doors will close again after 15 seconds. | |
Situation Two: When train doors open, emergency gate bars exit. | |
1. Place one hand on the top edge of the emergency door. | |
2. Push the red rod outward. | |
Note: The emergency door will not close automatically after being opened manually. |
• Wenhu Line Platform Door Operation Procedure
Section from Taipei Zoo Station to Zhongshan Junior High School Station
Situation One: When train doors are not consistent with platform doors; with a discrepancy of 50cm to 100cm. | |
1. Pull the train’s red evacuation handle upward. | |
2. Using both hands, push the grooves on the train doors to either side to open the train doors. | |
3. Using right hand, push the platform door locks till unlock, using both hands push to either side to open the platform doors. | |
Situation Two: When train doors are not consistent with platform doors; with a discrepancy of over 100cm. | |
1. Pull the train’s red evacuation handle upward. | |
2. Using both hands, push the grooves on the train doors to either side to open the train doors. | |
3. Observe the location of the emergency exit. Push the emergency exit outward. |
• Section from Songshan Airport Station to Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Station
Situation One: When train doors are not consistent with platform doors; with a discrepancy of 50cm to 100cm. | |
